History[]

The Lake Dreamland Fire Department was established in 1931. It protected a 22 square mile area of Jefferson County with 25,000 residents bounded by the City of Louisville to the north, the City of Shivley to the east, Pleasure Ridge Park to the south, and the Ohio River to the west.

In 2020, Lake Dreamland Fire Department was absorbed by Pleasure Ridge Park Fire District.
