History[]
Klickitat County Fire Protection District No. 3 was formed in 1956.
On November 7, 2023, voters approved the merger of Klickitat County Fire Protection District No. 3 and the City of White Salmon with a combined 1,374 "yes" votes and 823 "no" votes.[1] The West Klickitat Regional Fire Authority was formed on January 1, 2025.
