History[]
The Julian-Cuyamaca Volunteer department was disbanded after a vote for dissolution of the Julian-Cuyamaca Fire Protection District and a protracted court battle. San Diego County Fire Authority took over operation in December 2019. Most of the Volunteer departments vehicles were towed and disposed of by the SDCFA.[1]
