History[]
Howland Township was located on Manitoulin Island, south of Little Current. In 1998, Howland and Little Current were amalgamated to form the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands. The Howland Township FD became part of the Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands Fire Department.
