Dispatch operates out of the Horry County Operations Center. Fireground operations for the department are on TAC channels 5-9, with TAC-10 reserved for "Air Ops" communications with medical helicopters and other mutual aid aircraft, and TAC-11 is reserved for special operations. The department also operations other misc. channels, including Special Events, Training, and direct communication from EMS to each hospital in the county.

There are two active EMS Rescue Squads in the County, those being Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad and North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad. HCFR has partnerships with both of these agencies, allowing them to supplement EMS units during peak season.
