History[]
At some point the East Hernando County Fire District was absorbed by Hernando County Fire Services.
In 2012 Hernando County absorbed the Spring Hill Fire District (Florida) after voters denied the district it's own taxing authority in two elections. The State government dissolved the district under House Bill 1513. [1]
