History[]
The Haldimand Fire Department was formed in 1973 upon the formation of the Town of Haldimand. The new department merged the following fire services:
- Caledonia Fire Department
- Canborough Township Fire Department
- Cayuga Fire Department
- Hagersville Fire Department
- North Cayuga Township Fire Department
- Rainham Township Fire Department
- Seneca Township Fire Department
In 2001, Haldimand was amalgamated with Dunnville and the eastern portion of Nanticoke to form Haldimand County. The six stations of the Haldimand Fire Department became part of the Haldimand County Fire Department.
