Overview[]
The Haddam Volunteer Fire Company is one of two fire departments that serve the Town of Haddam, the other being the Haddam Neck Volunteer Fire Department across the river. They respond to a mainly rural and residential community, including the villages of Higganum and Tylerville, a portion of the Connecticut River, many acres of forest & woodland (including the Cockaponset State Forest), and a stretch of the state Route 9 highway.
