History[]
The Village of Grand Bend was amalgamated with several other area municipalities to form Lambton Shores in 2001. The fire departments in Lambton Shores continued to operate independently for several years, but the Grand Bend FD became part of Lambton Shores Fire & Emergency Services when a new chief for the municipality was hired in 2018.
