History[]
In 1974, Goulbourn Township was amalgamated with the Village of Richmond to create an expanded Goulbourn Township. The Richmond Fire Department became part of the township FD.
In 2001, all municipalities in the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton were amalgamated to form the newly expanded City of Ottawa. Goulbourn's fire department became part of Ottawa Fire Services (Ontario).
