History[]

Fire services date back to the late 1800's in Gainesville and were volunteer-based for many years. Gainesville became a fully-paid fire department in 1925.

Apparatus Notes[]

  1. The Waterous CPK-2 pump is driven by a hydraulic motor on the pump. This IHT (Integrated Hydraulic Technology) drive is manufactured by Harrison Hydraulic Solutions. Hydraulic power is provided by a high-pressure PTO driven pump.
