Firehorse was a brand of fire apparatus built in Bellevue and Burlington, Washington.

History[]

Continental Engineering & Sales of Bellevue, Washington, began building tankers in the mid-1980s. These trucks were sold by Lyle Heaton, a dealer for W.S. Darley & Company. Mr. Heaton purchased the tanker business from Continental and transferred production to Smiley's Inc. in Burlington. Firehorse appears to have ceased operations in the late 1990s.

Production[]

Firehorse built tankers for fire departments in the western United States and British Columbia.
