Rama Fire Rescue provides 24/7 coverage to the Reserve with 33 full-time staff operating from a single station.
History[]
Rama Fire Rescue was formed in 1966 to protect the Chippewas of Rama First Nation. Fire protection was also purchased from Mara Township Fire Department. The department was fully reorganized in 1978.
