The East Newark Fire Department was established in 1895 and consisted of the Defender Hose Company and Sherman Hook & Ladder Company.
Overview[]
The East Newark Fire Department is an all volunteer department that protects a population of 2,600 residents in an area of 0.13 square mile. It is the second smallest municipality in the State of NJ by area.
