History[]
In 2006, Clark County Fire Protection District No. 1 merged with Clark County Fire Protection District No. 9. The operating name of Fire District 9 was then changed to "East County Fire and Rescue" by the Clark County Council as the request of the commissioners of Fire District 9 on July 25, 2006.[1]
