The Cyclone is a custom chassis manufactured by E-One. The Cyclone was originally introduced in 1985 and re-introduced in 1997 as the Cyclone II. It was redesigned again in 2003 and eventually was changed back to the Cyclone in 2016/2017. There was also a version of the Cyclone called the Cyclone TC that was made in the mid-1990s.

A new design for the Cyclone cab was introduced in June 2020. The new design features a 100" wide cab with redesigned front fascia and windshield, as well as more ergonomic door handles.

The Cyclone is available in five cab lengths:

  • 44.5” (Short Medium Four Door - SMFD)
  • 58” (Medium Four Door - MFD)
  • 67.5” (Extended Medium Four Door - EMFD)
  • 74" (Long Four Door - LFD)
  • 80” (Extended Long Four Door - ELFD)

Roof options include a low flat roof or 4" flat raised roof with an option of four vista roof heights:

  • 12”
  • 16”
  • 20”
  • 24"
