History[]

The Durham & District Fire Department was located in the Town of Durham and also protected the surrounding Townships of Bentinck, Egremont, Glenelg and Normanby.

In 1998, Durham was amalgamated with other area municipalities to form West Grey, and the fire department became part of the West Grey Fire Department.
