Drummond/North Elmsley Tay Valley Fire Rescue was established on January 1, 2006 when the Bathurst Burgess Drummond & Elmsley (BBD&E) Fire Department and the South Sherbrooke Township Fire Department were merged into one department governed by one board – the Drummond/North Elmsley Tay Valley Fire Rescue Board. DNETV Fire Rescue provides fire and rescue services to both townships (Drummond/North Elmsley and Tay Valley) which have a combined population of 13,058 and coverage area of 915 square kilometres.
