Mutual Aid[]
Portions of Douro-Dummer are covered by the Selwyn Fire Department, Asphodel-Norwood Township Fire Department, and Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Fire Department via automatic aid agreements. Douro-Dummer also provides coverage to portions of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township and Otonabee-South Monaghan Township via automatic aid agreements.
History[]
Douro-Dummer Township was formed in 1998 through the amalgamation of Douro Township and Dummer Township. Each of the townships operated its own fire department, namely the Douro Township Fire Department and Dummer Township Fire Department.
