History[]
Dependable Emergency Vehicles was founded in 1975 as a division of Dependable Truck and Tank Ltd. a family-operated a builder of fuel, water and other bulk liquid trucks.
Dependable opened a new facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, in 2024.
Production[]
Dependable builds pumpers, mini-pumpers, tankers and rescue trucks on both custom and commercial chassis. Most deliveries have been to Ontario departments, but Dependable has also delivered trucks to Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. Major customers include Toronto Fire Services, Mississauga Fire & Emergency Services, Brampton Fire & Emergency Services and Caledon Fire and Emergency Services.
