History[]
The Crowsnest Pass FD serves the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass, a specialized municipality in the Province of Alberta. The municipality was formed in 1979. The original four independent fire departments remained in place for several years. They were:
- Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department
- Blairmore Volunteer Fire Department
- Coleman Volunteer Fire Department
- Hillcrest Volunteer Fire Department
The departments were consolidated into one operation under a single chief in the late 2000s or early 2010s.
