History[]
The Chester Township Fire Co. was originally known as the Felton Hose & Chemical Company from 1882 to 2005, when they split from the City of Chester and relocated to Chester Township. From the 1970s until 2005, Felton Hose still operated in the City of Chester (after they established a unified paid dept.) as the only volunteer station; and became Chester Township once they moved.
