History[]
The original name of Cherry Hill Fire Company No. 1 was the East Merchantville Fire Company until Delaware Township changed its name to Cherry Hill Township in 1961. Cherry Hill Fire Company No. 1 served Cherry Hill Fire District 7 from 1945 until the districts consolidated in 1994. They remained a volunteer company until they were deactivated in 2010.
