History[]
Cavan Monaghan Township, originally known as Cavan-Millbrook-North Monaghan, was formed in 1998 through the amalgamation of the Village of Millbrook, Township of Cavan and Township of South Monaghan. Prior to amalgamation, the area was served under the Millbrook-Cavan Fire Department, operated by the two named municipalities.
