Defunct fire departments of Montréal

Since the 1800s, Montreal has annexed many of its suburbs. This ended in 2002 with the annexation of all remaining cities on the Island of Montreal. While some municipalities regained their independence in 2006, fire protection services remained with the agglomeration council and centralized under the Service de securite incendie Montreal.
