History[]
On March 30, 1933, three men by the names of Paul F. Paig, James Suffolk, and Fred Horn, applied for a charter through the Court of Common Pleas of Washington County for a Volunteer Fire Department. That application was processed through the assistance of Roy L. Carson, Attorney at Law, Charleroi, PA.
The application was approved by the Court, by the Honorable James Irwin Brownson Jr, Washington County President Judge, and The Volunteer Fire Department of Carroll Township was Incorporated and Chartered on April 22, 1933.
In a very fast upcoming 9 years, we will be celebrating our 100th anniversary serving the residents of Carroll Township and surrounding communities.
