Overview[]
Founded in 1966, the Capital Area Mutual Fire Aid Compact (often referred to as just Capital Area) is a Fire Mutual Aid District in New Hampshire covering a large portion of the south-center portion of the state surrounding the state capital, Concord. The district is dispatched by Concord Fire Alarm, while occasionally being toned out by Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid for large incidents in their coverage zone. The Compact organized the Central New Hampshire HazMat Team in 1995, and has two Chief Coordinators who are dispatched to large incidents for additional command support.
