History[]

Camden Township, located in Kent County, was divided into two separate fire areas. Area 1 was in the northern part of the township and used the Dresden Fire Department's station in Dresden. Area 2, in the southern part, was located at the station of the Thamesville Fire Department.

Camden Township was amalgamated with the other municipalities of Kent County in 1998 and the fire department became part of Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services.
