The CAL FIRE Tehama-Glenn Unit (TGU) of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection / CAL FIRE provides fire protection and life safety services to the unincorporated areas of the counties of Tehama and Glenn, located in the Northern Sacramento Valley of Northern California. In Tehama County, TGU is directly responsible for 1,116,828 acres and an estimated population of 65,000 permanent residents, while in Glenn County, the unit protects 302,635 acres and an estimated population of 28,000 permanent residents. The unit is bordered by Shasta County to the north, by Plumas County to the northeast, by Butte County to the east, by Colusa County to the south, by Lake County to the southwest, and by Mendocino and Trinity counties to the west.

The CAL FIRE Tehama-Glenn Unit has mutual and/or automatic aid agreements with the Capay Volunteer Fire Department, the Corning Volunteer Fire Department (California), and the Red Bluff Fire Department in Tehama County, with the Glenn Codora Fire Protection District in Glenn County, with the Shasta County Fire Department and the Cottonwood Fire Protection District (California) in Shasta County, with the Butte County Fire Department in Butte County, and with the Lassen National Forest Fire Suppression, the Lassen Volcanic National Park Fire Management, the Shasta-Trinity National Forest Fire Suppression, and the Mendocino National Forest Fire Suppression.

The CAL FIRE Tehama-Glenn Unit, through a co-operative agreement with the Tehama County Fire Department, operates 10 fire stations, two conservation camps, one fire center, the Vina Helitack base, and the Red Bluff Emergency Command Center. The TGU Unit responded to 15,086 calls for service in 2024.
