History[]
The Township of Brooke / Alvinston was created in 2001 through the amalgamation of the Village of Alvinston and surrounding Township of Brooke. Fire protection was provided by the Alvinston and District Volunteer Fire Department and the Inwood Fire Department. After the municipal merger, the two departments continued to operate as separate entities. In 2017, the municipality merged them under a single chief. The Inwood station was closed in 2020.

Overview[]
Brooke-Alvinston also provides fire protection for a portion of Dawn-Euphemia Township and the northwest part of Southwest Middlesex Township. The municipality of Brooke-Alvinston also owns a tanker operated by the Watford Fire Department to provide water supply for the northern portion of the township.
