Braun Industries Inc. is an American ambulance manufacturer located in Van Wert, Ohio.
History[]
Braun was founded by Charles Braun as a pattern shop in Lithopolis, Ohio. The company built its first ambulance in 1972. It moved to Oakwood, Ohio in 1976 and to Van Wert in 2001. Less than two years later, a tornado caused extensive damage to the factory but fortunately no injuries. The building was repaired and has expanded in the years since. Braun merged with Ambulance Demers in 2018, but retained its corporate identity.
