History[]

Brantford Township was a municipality that surrounded the City of Brantford. The fire department covering the suburban/rural municipality was predominantly volunteer/POC with a full-time chief and operated from four stations.

In 1999, all of the municipalities of Brant County amalgamated to form a new municipality and the BTFD became part of the Brant County Fire Department.
