History[]

In 1974, municipal restructuring saw the then Town of Brampton amalgamate with the surrounding townships of Chinguacousy and Toronto Gore to create an expanded City of Brampton. The Chinguacousy Township Fire Department was merged with the Brampton Fire Department.

217 7752 Churchville Road, Churchville 1974 (amalgamation)-2010 Built 1950, part of Toronto Township. Operated by Brampton as a volunteer station, replaced by Station 212. Converted into a community hall.
218 9126 Mississauga Road, Huttonville 1974 (amalgamation)-2010 Built 1964 as a Chinguacousy Township station, later operated by volunteers. Replaced by Station 212. Demolished August 2015.
219 9756 The Gore Road, Castlemore 1982-2003 Former volunteer station, replaced by Station 213 when it opened July 2003. Demolished.

Future Plans[]

  • Construction began on a new fully centralized fire campus in December 2019 with planned completion by 2022. Named the Williams Parkway Fire Campus, the centre located at 425 Chrysler Drive (same lot as the current location of Station 203) will consist of:
    • New Station 203
    • A training facility
    • An emergency operations centre
    • A new headquarters
  • Construction tenders were called in May 2021 for the new Station 214 at 917/927 Bovaird Drive West. The two-bay 955 square metre facility will be shared with Peel EMS.
  • Architectural tenders were called in June 2020 for the design and contract administration for a new Station 201 at 25 Rutherford Road South.
  • Longer term, there are also plans to design and construct Fire Stations 215 in 2022 (Heritage/Sandalwood Parkway), 216 in 2022 (Mississauga Road/Williams Parkway area) and 217 in 2024 (Countryside Drive/Goreway Drive).
  • A study completed in 2016 proposed the following apparatus deployments:
    • A pumper to be added to Station 207.
    • Station 210 will become a single truck station (Aerial 210)
    • A pumper for future Station 214.
    • A squad for future Stations 215, 216, and 217.
