History[]
In 1974, municipal restructuring saw the then Town of Brampton amalgamate with the surrounding townships of Chinguacousy and Toronto Gore to create an expanded City of Brampton. The Chinguacousy Township Fire Department was merged with the Brampton Fire Department.

- Construction tenders for Fire Station 215 were awarded in December 2024. The new facility will be located at 10539 Goreway Drive.
- The following plans and recommendations were made for early 2025:
- Relocate Command Post 208 from Station 209 to 208.
- Replace Air/Light 201 and relocate from Station 212 to 201.
- There are plans to design and construct Fire Stations 216 in 2025 (Mississauga Road/Williams Parkway area) and 217 in 2032 (Heritage/Sandalwood Parkway).
- The Fire Master Plan for 2021 - 2025 proposed the following apparatus deployments:
- A pumper for future Stations 215, 216, and 217.
