Berkeley Pumps is an American pump manufacturer. The company has produced several pumps suitable for use on small fire apparatus such as brush trucks and quick attack units.

History[]

In 1937 the Berkeley Pump Corporation was established in Berkeley, California to build small irrigation and agricultural pumps. The company quickly expanded their product line to include pumps suitable for industrial, marine and fire protection use. The company was reorganized in 1946 becoming the Berkeley Pump Company.

The Transamerica Corporation acquired the Berkeley Pump Company in 1982. In 1986 the company was sold to Sta-Rite. In 2004 Pentair Inc acquired Sta-Rite. Now Berkeley Pumps, the company operates as a subsidiary of Pentair Ltd's Water division.
