History of Arnprior Fire Trucks Corp.[]

Almonte Fire Trucks Corporation was a custom builder of a full line of fire apparatus including pumper's, rescue vehicles, tankers, and special function vehicles and was founded in 1978. In a very short period of time their reputation as a truly custom manufacturer providing many innovative designs made them the preferred choice for many Canadian fire departments.

In 2003, Almonte Firetrucks was purchased by Seagrave Fire Apparatus and became Seagrave Fire Apparatus Company.

In 2010, Seagrave Canada employees formed Arnprior Fire Trucks Corporation (AFTC) located in Arnprior, Ontario.

In June 2017, Arnprior's owner announced that the company would be sold to Eastway Fire & Rescue Vehicles.

At the end of 2017, AFTC ceased operations.

Staff[]

Many members of the AFTC workforce were active members of local volunteer and municipal fire departments. Most of the staff were former employees of the above two companies.

Products[]

Arnprior Fire Trucks Corp designed and custom built pumpers, rescues, bush trucks, tankers and most other types of Fire Apparatus on commercial chassis or Spartan chassis.

The company had certifications in S.S, aluminum and steel welding, ULC, NSM, NFPA, PPG Red Seal.
