The Indiana Harbor Fire Department provides fire and EMS response for the ArcelorMittal Indiana Harbor complex. The complex is one of the largest integrated steelmaking facilities in North America and is located in East Chicago, Indiana, just 20 miles southeast of Chicago.
The IHFD is a company owned contractor operated department. United Protection Service is the current contract holder.
