The Amertek 2500L RIV-C1 was an aircraft crash rescue fire-fighting vehicle built by Amertek Incorporated of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. The truck was adapted from the Amertek 2500L for use by Canadian airport fire departments.
68 Amertek 2500L RIV-C1 4x4 airport crash trucks were delivered to Transport Canada for use in airports across Canada in 1987 and 1988. Along with slight differences in the cab and body, the top-mount walk-through pump panel was removed and a side-mounted pump panel used. They were equipped with 600 USGPM pumps, 660 US gallon water tanks and a 90 US gallon foam tank, along with 500lbs. of dry chemical (500/550/75 Imperial gallons). An additional unit with the same specifications was built for Bell Textron Helicopters Canada in Quebec.
