The 100 Series Metropolitan was an early model of custom fire apparatus made by American LaFrance, produced only from 1926 to 1929. Reviving a model name previously used by steam fire engines, the new 100 Series pumpers and aerials featured a new, higher radiator and hood and updated metal cowl which enclosed the instrumental panel. The trucks had chain or bevel drive. In standard, the 100 Series trucks had a 6 cylinder 105 hp engine. [1]
