Ajax Fire and Emergency Services

History

The Pickering Village Fire Department became part of AFD after the Town of Ajax and Village of Pickering were amalgamated in 1974.

Ajax Fire's alarm room was decommissioned in June 2024 and dispatch contracted to Oshawa Fire Services. Ajax had previously provided dispatch for Pickering Fire Services.
